She was a Andy Warhol super star and appeared in several of his movies. She portrayed the witch Oenothea in In Federico Fellini's Satyricon. Also she was in Otto Preminger comedy Skidoo . Donyale Luna lived a glamous life with fast company. She hung with the Rolling Stones in Europe. Donyale was always mysterious, contradictory, evasive according to her life long friend and ex beau Sanders Bryant who knew her in high school. She denied her negro roots. She claimed her backgound to be mexican, Irish, egyptian anything but african american. The only thing she could not deny was that her gender was femme.
